Ravne na Koroškem
Ravne na Koroškem is the largest town in Koroška – a town of ironworkers, steel sculptures of Forma Viva, and literary treasures. Its cultural growth is reflected in the rich collections of the Koroška Central Library, while the history of ironworking is showcased in fascinating museum exhibits, especially Štauharija located in the old ironworks.
The town features a modern sports complex with halls, an Olympic-size and indoor swimming pool, an athletics stadium, a ski slope, a mountain bike park, an adventure park, numerous playgrounds, a sauna and fitness facilities, as well as various accommodation options, including glamping.
On the slopes of the surrounding hills, alongside traditional tourist farms, you will also encounter more exotic animals; you can walk with llamas, observe zebras, and even spot a few other exotic species.
Discover the heartbeat of Koroška – a region with a rich and diverse heritage, best experienced through its many museums and galleries. From the era of the Romans to the formation of modern Slovenia, each exhibition tells a part of the region’s remarkable story.
Everywhere you go, you are greeted by views of Uršlja Gora, where from the summit you can admire the entire Koroška region and beyond. In addition to fine cuisine, here you will also find the highest-located church in Slovenia – St. Ursula’s. The Nature adventure park of Uršlja Gora follows you as you trek your way up. On your way back to the valley, don’t forget to stop by Lake Ivarčko.
