An interesting permanent exhibition is on display
at the restored part of the parish-house barn in Libeliče. The exhibition
displays the life of farmers and their work in different seasons in the area of
the Libeliče Local Community, Libeliška Gora and Gorče, around the period of
the second half of the 19th century to around 1970.
The initiative for setting up the display came from
the villagers themselves, wanting to preserve the forgotten objects from their
barns, granaries, cellars, and attics. The objects, appearing unusual today,
tell stories of the old ways of farm work and the simple country life from the
past. The youngest visitors will surely be amused.
Special attention is paid to using grain, as well
as the process of making bread from planted seeds. It thus represents the most
important values of the farmers' food culture.
