Radlje ob Dravi is also the name of this municipality's
principal town, which was settled as far back as the antiquity. Therefore in
the Middle Ages the town already claimed the repute of one of the oldest
settlements on the Drava banks. In addition, many different Roman finds tell
about the respectable age of the town. On Kamen (”The Stone”) above the town
once stood Radlje Castle, which was later on rebuilt into a mansion, which is
nowadays surrounded by a beautiful English park. Despite the remarkable time
span the significant market image of the town has been preserved until today.
Brezni Vrh, Dobrava, Kozji Vrh, Radelca and Remšnik are some of the small
neighboring towns also worth visiting.
