Mislinja
For an accidental traveller, Mislinja is a settlement with a church and a few houses on both sides of the main road, but in fact it unites five former old settlements. The development of the settlement occurred due to its location next to the Celeia–Colatio–Virunum antique road, making it easier for this location to develop trade, freight and ironworks. The first iron foundries were activated in 1724. The must-see locations are the Church of St. Lenart and St. Ahac, Robnik’s Forgery and archaeological excavations in Dovže – villa rustica. From here you will have plenty of opportunities to take pleasant trips to Kope, the central tourist and recreational centre of the Koroška region, Rogla, Turjak, Stara Glažuta and more. The locals are proud to call their settlement the birthplace of painter Jože Tisnikar.
