ADVENT CALENDER

December here is not just a month of events – it is a month of warmth, togetherness, and genuine moments that can be experienced in every town. Across Koroška, numerous events, concerts, and fairs will bring true Christmas spirit to life. In Črna na Koroškem, you can witness a spectacular descent of Santa with his sleigh down Olimpline in Mežica, live nativity scenes in front of the Narodni dom will bring joy and peace among people. Ravne na Koroškem invites you to the New Year’s Eve run on Javornik, Dravograd will set up an artificial ice rink, while Slovenj Gradec will shine with its Christmas Village, fairs, and concerts—you can even see the largest Advent wreath in Slovenia, a symbol of eternity and hope. In Mislinja, a New Year’s fair is being prepared; Radlje ob Dravi invites you to the pre-Christmas “Naša tržnica” market, and Ribnica na Pohorju to a torchlight hike to Aunt Lena’s farm. Magical December events in Vuzenica, Podvelka, Muta, and Prevalje will also make the end of the year even more special.

In Črna na Koroškem, the festive December atmosphere comes to life each year in a fairytale setting where tradition meets playful imagination. Locals and visitors gather in the heart of the village, and the holiday offerings are highlighted by one of the most unique events in Koroška – the descent of Santa down the Olimpline.
